The core concept of this project is to help fund the school of Autism kids. To begin with let me brief on, what Autism is? Who are these children, and how can we help these kids to see the world around them.

What is Autism?

Autism is a complex neurobehavioural disorder that includes impariments in social interaction and development of languages communication skills combined with rigid, repetitive behaviours. This disorder cover a large spectrum of symptom, skills and levels of impariement.
This disorder ranges from a handicap that somewhat limits and otherwise normal life to a devastating disabiiity thst may require institutional care.

Who are the children with Autism?

Children with autism have troulble in communicating. They have trouble understanding what other people think and feel. This makes it very hard for them to express themselves ither with words or through gestures, facial expressions and touch.

How to help these Kids with this disorder?

There are various strategies and approaches that the supprt staff can use to help develop the ehavoiur, languages and communication skills of children with autism.
Some of the methods includes:

Visual Aids

Many children with autsim find it easier to understand the world about them through visual aids.
eg : Visual Time tables - A timetable which allocates times and simple drawings of activities which allows children to know what they are going to do and exactly when.

Computer software packages

This type of aid is used to write out stories, descriptions, instructions in both words and symbols simultaneously.

Comic strip conversations

This type of approach is used to assist kids with autism to develop greater social understanding, by providing visual representations of the different levels of communication that take place in a conversation using symbols, stick figures, drawings and color.

Social Skills

According to rearch and studies done on children with autism, it is believed that these children tend to respond to drama and role play activities to helpo them learn socail skills such as greeting, turn talking in conversation and watching for cues in socail skill groups.

Out of all, these children will better response to activities and establishing a Circle of friends or a "Buddy System" can also help a child with this disorder to understand the social world. As they are more into seeing things and understanding them, spending more time with people, engaging themselves in activities will help them indicate things and learn the surrounding.
