Crowd Funding project with Kick-starter

There are few links that we can use to create our own crowd funding project.
I would suggest to start our project with "Kickstarter", which would be an ideal start.

If you have any other sites, please contribute!

What is Crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding can be defined as
"a financing method that involves funding a project with relatively modest contributions from a large group of individuals, rather than seeking substantial sums from a small number of investors" (WhatIs.com, 2012)

The main tools for attracting investors are concentrated on the internet. Some popular crowdfunding platforms on the internet include KickStarter, IndieGoGo and 40 Billion. There are hundreds of other similar platforms that are growing in popularity.

In addition to such platforms, crowd funded projects often use their own domains online to attract investors. Social media networks such as Facebook and Twitter are also being used to good effect in spreading the message.

Crowdfunding is used to raise funds for various kinds of projects. These can range from new business startups to environmental protection initiatives. Regardless of the objectives, reaching out to the appropriate people will be key to a successful crowdfunding campaign.

Since a good majority of crowdfunded projects are hosted online, interaction between the funders and the funded takes place on the internet. Having a good story that relates to your project helps because people like to know about such things.

Equally important is how this story is narrated and delivered. This is where creativity comes into play. Successful crowdfunding projects are usually ones that stand out from the rest.
